Our region & partners We live and work in a vibrant and diverse geographic area, serving 4.7 million people across Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Our region is home to world-leading research institutions, a bustling life sciences hub and a strong talented NHS workforce. Like many regions, our area faces financial, operational and clinical pressures. The shape of our population is changing, with more people than ever before needing access to the right health and care at the right time. Our population is growing and ageing, and there are people living across a mix of coastal communities, isolated rural areas and urban centres. These people all have different experiences of health and care and this generates health inequity. Our approach is grounded in our regional context. Identifying and addressing local priorities We are codesigning delivery plans to support local needs of three Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). Our delivery teams support the system to meet the quintuple aim for healthcare and delivery: Improving outcomes in population health and healthcare Tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience and access Enhancing productivity and value for money Helping the NHS support broader social and economic development Making the NHS the best place to work Commissions As a Network, we receive three core commissions: As a local health innovation network, we also receive commissions with local health services and industry partners. ← → News and case studies Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex CEO Appointed as AI and Innovation Professor at University of Surrey School of Medicine Professor Hatim Abdulhussein, CEO of Health Innovation KSS, has been appointed as Honorary Professor of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the University of Surrey's School of Medicine.
