A new collaborative webinar programme has been announced to help health innovators successfully navigate the complexities of NHS England and accelerate the adoption of impactful solutions across the system.

Health Innovation Kent Surrey Sussex, Health Innovation South West, Health Innovation West Midlands, and Health Innovation West of England have joined forces to deliver a bi-monthly series of lunchtime webinars. Designed for innovators at all stages of development, the programme will offer practical insights and real-world guidance on working effectively within the NHS landscape.

Skills to navigate the NHS

Scheduled to begin on Thursday 16 July, the series will run bi-monthly from 12:30 to 13:30. It aims to equip participants with the knowledge, tools and confidence needed to move from concept to implementation and scale. Each session will feature case studies from organisations that have successfully collaborated with the NHS, alongside perspectives from commissioners and system partners.

The initiative comes at a critical time, as demand grows for innovative, evidence-based solutions that can address system pressures while improving patient outcomes. By bringing together expertise from across multiple regions, the partnership aims to provide consistent, high-quality support to innovators nationwide.

Athina Lockyer Head of Portfolio – Innovation and Enterprise said: “Our Innovator Webinar Series proved there’s real appetite for navigating the NHS better. Building on this success, we’re proud to be working with Health Innovation West Midlands, Health Innovation South West and Health Innovation West of England to reach more innovators with a practical, end-to-end experience. Together, we can help innovators build their knowledge, reduce barriers to entry and connect with the people and programmes that matter.

Six-part series

The six-part series follows the full innovation journey, from understanding the NHS to achieving scale and long-term adoption. Early sessions cover how the NHS operates, who makes decisions, and how to position your solution, before moving into developing a strong value proposition and clearly demonstrating impact.

Later webinars focus on generating robust evidence, navigating procurement and funding processes, and identifying investment opportunities, including moving from pilot to contract. The series concludes with practical guidance on scaling solutions sustainably across the NHS, helping innovators plan for growth, build capacity, and maximise long-term impact.
