The Kent, Medway and Sussex Secure Data Environment (SDE) Public and Patient Advisory Group (PPAG) was established in July 2024 to ensure that the views of people and communities are at the heart of the SDE programme.

There are 13 people on the PPAG, and membership includes people with a passion for digital and data, people with lived experience of physical and mental health conditions, people who are less digitally able, ethically diverse communities, and members of the Trans Non-Binary and Intersex communities. Four meetings have taken place.

A training session for the PPAG was held on 21st January 2025 with the Chair of the PPAG (Katherine Verrall), Vice Chair (Michelle Gardener), and Senior Digital and Data Involvement Lead (Isabel Clark) delivering key information to enable and ensure that members of the PPAG had the information that they need to inform and influence the direction of the SDE.
