Digital Health Partnership Award open for bids

Digital Health Partnership Award open for bids
News Digital, Data & AI

The Digital Health Partnership Award is focused on leveraging the value that partnership working can bring in delivering and accelerating digital health technology projects within the NHS. A partnership approach to the development and delivery of digital projects can help unblock the barriers and leave a lasting legacy in implementing these technology solutions.

NHSX encourages proposals in which NHS organisations look beyond traditional customer or supplier relationships, and geographical boundaries, and can demonstrate how they can best leverage the expertise and experience of each partner to deliver a sustainable solution.

Eligibility
All bids need to be led by an NHS organisation in England and need to identify a technology partner; a patient activation partner to support uptake and reach, as well as an evaluation partner to ensure that the forecast benefits are measures and the project blueprint can be shared across the wider NHS.

The types of technologies supported vary from web platforms and patient facing apps, to cutting edge solutions for wearables and extended reality (XR).

All projects must support people at home and therefore projects are likely to fall within the following categories:

  • Self-management of long-term conditions.
  • Diagnostic support and treatment.
  • System efficiencies related to care pathway transformation.

Key dates
The award closes on 24 June 2022 (5pm).
Awards will be announced by the end of July 2022.

Support for bidders
The KSS AHSN Technology Navigation team can support organisations who are thinking of bidding for the Digital Health Partnership Award. Recently we have assisted successful applications for both the AI award and SBRI funding.

The team can help both NHS organisations and companies to find bid partners, and offer support throughout the bid application process.
