A new initiative from NHSX is offering to provide iPads to care homes.
Care homes have until 23 October 2020 to apply for a free iPad (and, if applicable, also a free 12 months data sim).
The iPads are being prioritised for eligible care homes with the greatest need.
The aim is to ensure that everyone living in a care home in England can access video consultations and remote care when needed.
The tablets will also allow staff to access NHSmail and other tools or systems needed to support care, as well as to connect people with their loved ones.
